Bollywood’s powerhouse performer Nawazuddin Siddiqui is known for his intense acting on screen, but when it comes to his personal life, the actor admits he has his own struggles. In a recent conversation with ‘The New Indian’, Nawazuddin spoke openly about his bond with his daughter Shora and how she has become the strongest influence in his life.
The actor revealed that Shora, who studies in Dubai, is brutally honest with him and never treats him like a star.

“I yell at her sometimes, but she is very dear to me. She is very straightforward and keeps me grounded. She does not care that her father is a well-known actor. Within two minutes, she can criticise me,” Nawaz said.
Nawazuddin also shared that daughter Shora hasn’t even watched many of his films, which in a way, keeps his ego in check.
He admitted that this honesty from his daughter helps him stay humble despite all the fame and appreciation he has received. “The best part is she is not in awe of me,” he said, adding that this keeps him closer to reality.
While talking about his family, Nawazuddin also touched upon a sensitive subject, his absence at home. Over the years, his wife Aaliya has publicly spoken about how little time Nawaz spends with the family.
The actor did not deny it and instead owned up to the shortcoming. “It is important to be aware of family responsibilities. But not everybody can bring that balance,” he confessed.
Explaining further, Nawaz said that people who completely are in their art and work often find it hard to manage family life, and he falls into that category. “When someone is deeply into their profession and creativity, they often become weak in family matters, and that is the case with me. I am always weak at keeping up with family responsibilities,” he admitted.
The actor, who married Aaliya Siddiqui in 2009, was still struggling in his career back then. Together, they have two children, Shora and Yaani.
